2008-2009 Teaching For Learning Grant Application Package
The Foundation for Excellence would like to thank every staff member who applied for the Teaching For Learning Grant. Every application that the Foundation received was worthy of the enrichment grants. Although we wanted to award every applicant, our advisory board could only choose the top 6.

We encourage all staff to continue to give to the Believe Campaign. The more that is given, the more grants that will be available for our staff. The upcoming date for the Teaching For Learning Grant Application will be January 12, 2009. Each grant amount will be $1000.00.

'08 Golf Tournament Scholarship Winners
Since 1992, 191 scholarships have been awarded to students through the Kansas City, Kansas School Foundation for Excellence. Each year the Foundation for Excellence awards twelve $3,000 scholarships, to our graduation seniors from our five district high schools. The Foundation for Excellence has directed the scholarships for tuition, books and fees. This years Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Sunflower Hills Golf Course, on June 4, 2008. The Foundation for Excellence had an overwhelming success of attendance. This year’s participation from staff, donors, community, and businesses, resulted into 44 teams.
